HORSESHOE HOOKS.  A Personalised OAK plaque, engraved with your choice of wording and fitted with a cast iron horseshoe with 2 robe style hooks.  Without doubt, a great accessory for the stables, tack room, hallway or even a child’s bedroom

MATERIALS 

To make these Horseshoe Hooks we use kiln dried PRIME EUROPEAN OAK.  In other words, we use top grade timber.  All our OAK comes from sustainable sources and is FSC/PEFC certified.  Typically golden-brown in colour, with a straight grain and a medium to course texture.  The horseshoe is made from cast iron and is fixed to the oak with screws.

MAKING HORSESHOE HOOKS

We individually make every Horseshoe hooks to order.  First we prepare the oak, which involves cutting, planing, drilling, routing and sanding the timber.  Next, we engrave your choice of text into the oak, before moving on to the treatment.  Each hook is treated with danish oil.  Last but not least, we fit the horseshoe ready for despatch.  It should be noted that these hooks are designed for indoor use.

PACKAGING 

All items are boxed before being packaged for despatch.  Wherever possible we use paper or cardboard packaging.  Of course we have a duty to do our bit for the environment, whilst at the same time ensuring our products arrive undamaged.  Because it is sometimes necessary to use alternative packaging, all of it can be recycled so please do your bit too.

CARING FOR YOUR HORSESHOE HOOKS

Because the oak has been oiled it will withstand a wet wipe down.  Similarly, the cast iron hooks can be wiped clean too.  Even though these hooks are for indoor use, we recommend using either brass or stainless steel screws when fitting the oak plaque.  Owing to the high levels of natural tannic acid in oak, ferrous metals can cause oak to blacken when it is exposed to moisture.  Thus why we recommend brass or stainless steel screws.

SHIPPING

We send all items via Royal Mail or Parcelforce using a Signed For service.  Shipping costs are determined by the size and weight of the item ordered, however you can choose whether the item is shipped first or second class.  Shipping costs for multiple items on the same order will therefore be determined by the total weight and size of the packaging required to ship.

PLEASE NOTE:

All measurements are approximate.  Even though we take every care to make each item to the dimensions specified, a few mm difference is possible and should be anticipated.
