DIMENSIONS OF A 4 PAIR; 2 ADULT + 2 CHILDREN

• Length of Base – 46cm
• Width of Base – 15cm
• Thickness of Base – 4cm
• Posts – 3cm diameter
• Adult post height – 33cm
• Child post height – 16cm

To calculate the length of stands with more than 4 pairs, simply add 13cm for every extra adult post and 10cm for every child post.  The width and thickness of the base are always the same.  As are the heights of the posts for both adult and child.

MATERIALS

To make a WELLY BOOT STAND we use kiln dried PRIME EUROPEAN OAK.  In other words, we use top grade timber.  All our OAK comes from sustainable sources and is FSC/PEFC certified.  Typically golden-brown in colour, with a straight grain and a medium to course texture.  Each component, such as the base and all the posts are all made from individual pieces of solid oak

MAKING A WELLY BOOT STAND

We individually make every WELLY BOOT STAND to order.  Our first step is to prepare the oak, which involves cutting, planing, drilling, routing and sanding the timber.  After that, we engrave the inscription into the base.  The next step is to oil each part, ie the base and posts, ahead of it being assembled.  Once the oil is dry, we assemble to stand.  Each post is set into the base, as opposed to just being attached to the base.  The posts are glued into the base and then screwed from the bottom to ensure stability.  Once the posts have been fitted the stand is ready for despatch.

PACKAGING

All items are boxed before being packaged for despatch.  Wherever possible we use paper or cardboard packaging.  Of course we have a duty to do our bit for the environment, whilst at the same time ensuring our products arrive undamaged.  Because it is sometimes necessary to use alternative packaging, all of it can be recycled so please do your bit too.

SHIPPING

We send all items via Royal Mail or Parcelforce using a Signed For service.  Shipping costs are determined by the size and weight of the item ordered, however you can choose whether the item is shipped first or second class.  Shipping costs for multiple items on the same order will therefore be determined by the total weight and size of the packaging required to ship.

CARING FOR YOUR WELLY BOOT STAND

It’s highly likely that your WELLY BOOT STAND will get wet and possibly muddy.  We recommend allowing it to air dry, rather than placing it in front of a radiator or any other direct heat source.  It will tolerate a wipe down with a damp cloth and to remove any mud or dirt either allow it to dry before brushing off or wet wipe it clean.  Should you wish to re oil the stand, we suggest doing so when it is fully dried, and notably follow the instructions of the oil you are using.

PLEASE NOTE:

All measurements are approximate.  Whilst we take every care to make each item to the dimensions specified, a few mm difference is possible, therefore a slight variance should be anticipated.
