Oak Key Rings.  Perfect little personalised oak gifts for anyone who loves the feel of a natural material.  In addition to engraving text, we also have a small selection of images suitable for engraving on these key rings. However, due to their size the maximum characters is 8

MATERIALS 

To make these Oak Key Rings we use kiln dried PRIME EUROPEAN OAK.  In other words, we use top grade timber.  All our OAK comes from sustainable sources and is FSC/PEFC certified.  Typically golden-brown in colour, with a straight grain and a medium to course texture

MAKING OAK KEY RINGS

We individually make every Key Ring to order.  Our first step is to prepare the oak, which involves cutting, planing, drilling, routing and sanding the timber.  After that, we engrave your selected inscription, and then give the rack a final sanding before it is treated with Danish Oil.  You can choose between a clear oil or a graphite colour.  Each key ring has 2 coats of oil so it has some resistance to staining.

SHIPPING

We send all items via Royal Mail or Parcelforce using a Signed For service.  Shipping costs are determined by the size and weight of the item ordered, however you can choose whether the item is shipped first or second class.  Shipping costs for multiple items on the same order will therefore be determined by the total weight and size of the packaging required to ship.

PRODUCT CARE

Thankfully, there’s not much maintenance required with a keyring.  However, we do suggest that you occasionally check the split ring and also the oak for any rough edges.  Even though Oak is a hard wood it can get snagged on keys, so if that happens we recommend using a fine grit sandpaper to smooth off any rough parts.  In addition, you may wish to re oil your oak keyring, for instance if it starts to look like it is drying out.

PLEASE NOTE:

All measurements are approximate.  Every care is taken to make each item to the dimensions specified, however, a few mm difference is possible and should be anticipated.  For instance, some of these keyrings actually measure 6.9cm x 2.9cm.
